***Visit The Assemblage Studio on Facebook!***

Thursday, September 13, 5:00 p.m. or Tuesday, September 18, 2:00 p.m.
Halloween Assemblage on Wheels
– it's my favorite time of year again and time to make
spooky art! This project has a cigar box base – we will cut the top off and use it as the floor,
attaching the box as our house form, complete with a ceiling tin roof, and adding caster wheels
for feet! Collage images will be added inside the box and a scene with spooky bottles, then we
will finish it off with some dripping beeswax. Get out your witch hats and come play!! $40
class fee, supplies included

Tuesday, September 25, 2:00 p.m. or Thursday, September 27, 5:00 p.m.
Haunted Altered Animal Tins
– this fun assemblage project begins with a vintage tin, a face of your
choice goes on top, arms of wired buttons and vintage doll parts for legs get wired on. Inside we will
put a small scene, a story about your character, using collage imagery, letters and dollhouse miniatures,
and lots of cobwebs!! Come and create!! $45 fee, supplies included

Thursday, October 4, 5:00 p.m. or Saturday, October 6, 11:00 a.m.
Spooky Mixed Media Canvas
– continuing on with our favorite theme, Halloween!! We will
be collaging a background onto a stretched canvas using all kinds of different papers and images,
then adding a little paint or glaze on top. We will add a small shadowbox to the canvas for a
small scene or object, adding lots of dimension. Hardware and found objects can also be
attached for extra interest! Join us for this great project, ready to hang. $40 fee, supplies

*****Happy Hauntings!! Stop by on Halloween and make a spooky tag or a small

paperdoll for free!!******

Saturday, November 10, 11:00 a.m.
"An Afternoon With a Geisha" Pendant Class
– If you love all things from the orient, then
you'll love this class! Join us for this fun and unique class as we turn a sculpted-glass geisha into
a wonderful, tasseled necklace that's certain to become a family heirloom or a great holiday gift!
Lampworker and designer Sue Kruse-Ross will be offering several of her colorful (and
exquisite) geisha beads so each student may choose what she most desires. $55 fee, supplies

Tuesday, November 13, 2:00 p.m. or Thursday, November 15, 5:00 p.m.
Winter Luminary House
– here is a project that will add a nice glow to our darkest month!!
We will be constructing our houses out of heavy watercolor paper, cutting out gothic arch
windows that we fit with mica, then adding our images, twigs, frosty glitter and more to
construct our scene on a bookboard base. Figures out of vintage images will be placed inside the
house, backlit by a tea light! $40 fee, supplies included
