CLASS SCHEDULE

Tuesday, January 26, 3:00 p.m   or   Thursday, January 28, 7:00 p.m.
Snow Queen Paper Tiaras – haven’t you always dreamed of making your own tiara?  We will be assembling these wintry paper tiaras with a handmade paper base, collaged and adorned with lots of charms, buttons, lace, wire and such, to bring our snow queens to life!  Bring any found objects you want to incorporate or favorite charms, or choose some from the shop.  Let’s play!
$35 class fee, supplies included

Saturday, February 6, 10:00 a.m.
Fabric Paper Class
- mixed media/fiber artist Theresa Petermann will be back at Assemblage to teach this fun technique class. We will be using tyvek as our base and layering lots of fun papers to make our own paper fabric. This can be used as background for collage, bookmaking and more!!! Join us for this fun technique.
$35 class fee, supply list at Assemblage

Tuesday, February 9, 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, February 11, 7:00 p.m.
Valentine Paper Cones
– we will be constructing our cones out of cardstock printed with music or vintage images, embellishing with tinsel and lace, then making a special paper doll with greeting to nestle inside. Your job is to fill the cone with goodies for that special some one!!
$30 class fee, supplies included

Thursday, February 18, 4-7 p.m.
Bottle Cap Assemblage Necklace
– local jewelry artist Deborah Meyer will be returning to Assemblage to teach this fun class. We will be building a “Generational” bottle cap necklace, collaging our images (grandmother, mother, daughter??), photos or words into bottle caps (3 per necklace), adding a special glaze to seal them, then incorporating them into a necklace using other found objects. As in the past, Deb will provide chain/clasps/wire essentials and you can purchase fun objects at the shop or bring some from home. Join us for this fun assemblage jewelry class – a special showcase for your favorite family photos!!
$40 class fee, some supplies included

Tuesday, February 23, 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, February 25, 7:00 p.m.
Vintage Bottle Snowmen
– we will be using vintage bottles to make our charming snow people! Fill your bottle with mica, beads, shells and more; then add buttons, lace, words and tinsel; top with a felted snowball head – add lots of sparkle! Let it snow!!
$35 class fee, supplies included

Thursday, March 4, 4-7 p.m.
Images in Clay Assemblage Jewelry
– local jewelry artist Deborah Meyer will be teaching this fun assemblage jewelry class. We will be stamping images into jewelry clay and baking them here at the shop, then finishing them off with a spray glaze. These will be the centerpiece of our pendant, incorporating other found objects, ribbons and more to complete our creations! There are loads of beautiful stamps here at the shop to choose from or bring a favorite from home.
$40 class fee, some supplies included

Tuesday, March 16, 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, March 18, 7:00 p.m.
Altered Animal Tins
– there has been a lot of interest in this project lately, so I’m happy to bring it back! We will be doing an altered tin doll using vintage animal images to inspire us (rabbits spring to mind!). We’ll be collaging onto vintage tins, attaching heads, arms and legs of the animal of your choice. A perfect time to show off the favorite animal in your life – just bring a photo from home (1-2 inches for the face). Join us for this fun class – let your inner child play with the animals!
$40 class fee, supplies included

Tuesday, March 23, 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, March 25, 7:00 p.m.
Art Journals
– feeling a little housebound?? We will be using a house album to make this fun journal, attaching vintage arms, legs and a face for our figure bursting out of the house!! Join us for this fun collage and assemblage project.
